What We Do
1. Promote Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) as a crime reduction scheme.
2. Help set up individual NHW groups.
3. Support NHW groups by giving help and advice and occasional financial assistance.
4. Encourage people to join a NHW.
5. Hold regular General Meetings which the public may attend.
6. Provide information, links and news via the website.
What We Do NOT Do
1. Engage in or encourage vigilante behaviour.
2. Tell NHW groups what to do – we do not command them.
3. Act in place of the police.
Neighbourhood Watch is for everyone.
It is about bringing people closer together and involving them in local life.
A strong community spirit grows as people get to know each other and look out for one another.
